CONVENIENCE We need to be careful that we do not develop a Pattern of Convenience Obedience. What this means is that if it is convenient to you, you will obey. (Continuing from yesterday) Let’s take this back to you driving to work. The speed parameters have been set at 70kmh. You know that if you increase your speed to 80 or 90 that it would put you in a better position for your arrival time at work. At this point in time your obedience to the speed limit does not seem convenient for you. It doesn’t fit in what you are aiming to accomplish. Your agenda is more important than your obedience to the law. Note: Your obedience to the law does not protect and bless you [alone]. It protects and blesses the other drivers on the road and it protects and blesses the pedestrians. Please see www.shakibrown.com for the balance of this message. Bless you!

Parameter Conformity2/7/2018 PARAMETER CONFORMITY This is where I started with my meditation: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness...” -Matthew 6:33 My meditation on that scripture led me to: “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered...” -Hebrews 5:8 The understanding that unfolded in me was this: Jesus stayed within the parameters. DRIVING TO WORK So, when driving to work consider the speed parameters. Are you conforming to it? Or are you speeding so you can get to work on time. Anger and frustration are being allowed to stand at the ready to serve you IF you are in that state. The “Rush State.” PLAN Jesus would have got out of bed early, got ready and left EARLY which would enable him to stay within the speed parameters and allow him to arrive at work on time and in peace. We need to follow his example of “Parameter Conformity.” Today, learn obedience by staying in the parameters of His Word. It is for your good and protection always. God bless your Wednesday. -Shaki Brown, HM ArchivesCategories
